The phone rings, you get a phone call from a friend or family member that says "I am on my way over to your house, I will be there in 15 minutes..." If you are like me, I am in a race and shuffling around to make the house presentable. It's like a Super Mario world and you are racing the clock. I am throwing all the things in the closet, doing something with the dishes and lighting all the candles hoping they hurry up and make that mystery stench go away. Let's be honest, no matter how messy your room is, a good smell makes it all go away.
I stumbled across Pura Home Fragrance system. I will admit, I "window" shopped on the Pura website for awhile before I actually committed (I clearly have commitment issues, that's another subject for another day though). Let me tell you, I got that bad boy, plugged it in and immediately ordered another one.
Let's start with that small but mighty little contraption. This device is as smart as your first kid. Like for real. It has the power to make a room smell amazing in .2 seconds. (Please note, I am not a rocket scientist so that number is another word for super crazy, fast lighting speed.) The diffuser uses low heat diffusion and some other super secret solvents to disperse ultra-tiny droplets of fragrance into the air. The diffuser holds two different scents that you can easily switch from one to the other with the push of a button on your phone. With one app on your phone, not only control the scent, scent intensity, control the light colors and schedule runtime on every single Pura in your home.
Now, let's talk about scents baby... (You are a true 90's kid if you sung that as you read it). One of my favorite things about Pura is that they partner with some pretty amazing brands. Capri Blue, Anthropologie, and Disney are among some of their incredible—and growing—roster of partners. Did I mention that Pura's scents are free of all the harmful ingredients?
My first order pick was the ever so popular, Capri Blue Volcano. This iconic, cult-favorite scent with the perfect blend of tropical citrus and sugary notes. Like the excitement and energy of a summer night rendezvous, this fragrance is simply unforgettable. Tangy grapefruit and tangerine open the scent, giving it instant energy and appeal. Succulent plum and juicy black currant mingle with creamy sandalwood and ribbons of raspberry vanilla, altogether forming a scent that’s a favorite for good reason. This is my #1 all time favorite scent. I have ordered it EVERY.SINGLE.TIME!
My other scent for my first order was Santorini by Brooklyn Candle Studio. Elegant. Creamy. Lush. Escape to the Greek Isles with a scent reminiscent of the earthy, fruity aromas of Santorini’s abundant fig trees and lush native currants. Decadent Mediterranean fig and red currant join with warm and woodsy notes of sandalwood and amber for a fragrance that is creamy, dreamy, and rich.
I found myself sticking with the first scents because I loved them so much. One day, I got a wild hair and decided to try something new. The next scent I got was Hawaii - Homesick . Aloha, Hawaii! Juicy pineapple and coconut combine with sandy shore breezes, ocean tides, cyclamen flowers, and just a hint of sugar cane. All I need is grass skirt.
Linens & Surf - Fresh. Clean. Marine. A versatile scent that goes well in any space, Linens & Surf combines the best of the beach and the cleanliness of fresh laundry, creating an experience almost too good to be true. Sea spray and ozone join exotic passionfruit, creamy coconut, and washed up sandalwood, taking you to the sea, walking barefoot in the sand. I have decided that I apparently have a type...
How Long does each scent last? There is not a set answer for this question. It depends on the amount of time you run it, as well as the intensity you run it on. I keep mine set at 3-4 and have it scheduled to turn on daily from 6:30am-10am and then from 3pm-6:30pm (approx 7 hours a day). My scents are lasting 4+ weeks each on those settings.
Do I need a Pura in every room of my house? No. I have a larger open floor plan in my living, kitchen and dining. I have a Pura in the front and back rooms and they tackle all 3 rooms well. It's been said that a Pura can cover up to 1,000 square feet.
I have tried many scents, and haven't found one that is horrible. You will not regret giving Pura a try. If you do want to give it a try, Pura has given me a code for 15% off when you use my code SARAHLAVENDER at checkout.
